Chocolate chips. The combination of the bitter and the sweet can transform a piece of bland dough into a decadent ball of heavenly batter.
In research, I love that moment when the consumer truly connects with the research and an incredible insight results. It is that experience that I strive to bring to each project. That is the chocolate chip moment.
What does it take to make a great chocolate chip moment? Mixing the bitter with the sweet; creating fun, interactive and engaging research. It is a skill that I am continually challenging myself to craft.
My culinary tools include a decade of experience in the information technology field, a bachelors of science in information technology and a masters of science in management. Both my work experience and my academic credentials equip me in making intelligent business decisions, but my overall curiosity and my love of chocolate chips gives me an edge in bringing life and energy to research.
Here's the random stuff...
- Blue or black pens? Why? Black... It's classic and the contrast on paper often delivers a robustness to my words.
- Ideal vacation (no budget limit, 2 weeks maximum)? I've traveled to Europe many times and love doing so, but if I had to pick a favorite spot I like to lose myself and my cares in, it would be Mexico / Central America. The beaches, weather, culture, people, language, food, cerveza, what isn’t there to fall in love with?
- Best Halloween costume you’ve ever worn? Almost every year I was Batman, however one year I decided to go as Spiderman, problem was I didn't have the costume, so I creatively made one using my mom's panty hose. Introducing the new and improved spiderman...now with sheer energy! I looked more like a confused bank robber.
- Something nobody at Seek knew about you before you answered this question? Well probably the above Spiderman—pantyhose story... but I'll humor you with another... I was kicked out of a very conservative christian university for "disciplinary reasons"...I hate silly constrictive rules, they scream to be broken. I plead the fifth amendment.
- Do you sleep with one or two pillows? Why? Technically two, but I only claim one.
- Which Friends character most reminds you most of yourself, assuming gender is not relevant? Why? Could this question be more dated? Hummm... maybe fun bobby or perhaps marcel?
- If you had to live on nothing but fast food for two weeks, what would be your meal of choice? Chipotle....mmmmm tazón del fajita del pollo!!!
- Mac or PC? Why? You're kidding right? They're not even in the same class. Mac baby! — And this coming from someone with over a decade in information systems, a bachelor’s of science in information technology and the battle scars to prove it.
Sent from my iPhone.
- It’s a warm summer night and you’re sitting on the front porch...what drink is in your hand? Usually a cold beer... A Modelo Especial with a lime or perhaps Leinenkugel's Honey Weiss with lemon wedge.
- Worst job you’ve ever had? I worked as a cabinet installer one summer in high school. Wearing a tool belt was fun as so was the power tools and the building part...However that summer we worked at a retirement community and those old people sure liked their smelly stinky cats, and my allergies didn't.
- Favorite automobile you’ve ever owned? This one is tough... I've had so many I loved from my first car a '68 chevy impala to my latest ride, my saab...sticking with nostalgia, I would have to probably pick the '68 impala...It was literally a boat. not very green friendly, but it was built like a tank and could sleep 6 on its enormous front and back seats.
