Justin comes to Seek from a background that almost seems custom-tailored for the changing world of qualitative market research.  He graduated from Miami University with a B.A. In English Literature with a specialization in folk life and a B.S. In Communications, with a specialization in interviewing.  He has worked in journalism and creative media, where his expertise in in-depth interviewing brought him acclaim in  his work with NPR, and with local and national media outlets.  He brought his work with creative ideation and concept presentation to the world of qualitative market research, where he has pioneered Seek’s creative-media rollouts and video offerings.  He is a RIVA-trained moderator with a reputation for thinking outside the box, and a gift for creative communication.

Here's the random stuff...

  1. Blue or black pens?  Why?   Black.  It’s authoritative, strong, and mostly because that’s what I tend to find around the office.
  2. Ideal vacation (no budget limit, 2 weeks maximum)?  Rome in the late fall with just Stacy.
  3. Best Halloween costume you’ve ever worn?   Last year, Stacy and I went as Walter Sobchak and Maude from “The Big Lebowski” (see picture attached).  It worked because I already had the big gut and the scruffy face going for me.
  4. Do you sleep with one or two pillows?  Why?   Two, unless I can fold one pillow over so it’s like two...but I’d rather just have two, thank you.
  5. Which Friends character most reminds you most of yourself, assuming gender is not relevant?  Why?   I think probably Ross.  He’s not all that cool, but he cleans up well.  He’s a bit on the nerdy side, and he’s got a passion for music.
  6. If you had to live on nothing but fast food for two weeks, what would be your meal of choice?   What do you mean, “if?”  It would be 2 McDonald’s cheeseburgers, a medium fry, an apple pie, and a large Diet Coke (just for the irony).
  7. Mac or PC?  Why?   I want to smack the guy who wrote this question...except, it was me.  Mac, Mac, Mac, Mac and Mac.  If you have to ask why, we’ve never met.
  8. It’s a warm summer night and you’re sitting on the front porch...what drink is in your hand?   A whiskey sour made with Jamieson 12-year, and hopefully an Acid Blondie cigar is clutched in my index finger against the whiskey glass.
  9. Worst job you’ve ever had:   Overnight Jazz DJ for WMUB-FM.  8 hours of smooth jazz from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m...and I wasn’t allowed to nap inbetween breaks.
  10. Favorite automobile you’ve ever owned?  A 1987 Honda Accord LX, with an ancient picture of Chris Farley scotch-taped to the dash, and a smell that nobody could identify.
